at the Free University of Samadeva

 

 

You’re interested in training as a certified instructor in Dervish Yoga and would like to receive financial assistance for your training? As part of its development program, the Free University of Samadeva is offering scholarships to people motivated to teach Dervish Yoga and participate in the Dervish Yoga teacher training program.

Conditions for receiving a teacher training scholarship 

Who is the scholarship for? 

• The scholarship is intended for people of different nationalities who are already a certified teacher in one of the following areas:

Psycho-corporal methods: Yoga, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Eurythmy, Bothmer gymnastics, Shiatsu, Feldenkrais method, Alexander Technique.

Psychotherapeutic methods: Gestalt Therapy, Sophrology, Psychogenealogy, Rebirthing, Transpersonal psychology.

Therapies: Osteopathy, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Energetic therapies, Ayurveda, Music therapy, Chiropractic, EMDR, Kinesiology, Tibetan medicine, Indian medicine, Fascia therapy, Reiki.

Other disciplines: Martial arts, classical or modern dance, Feng Shui, different forms of meditation (zen, transcendental, yogi…), Do In.

For any other discipline or method not mentioned above, please contact us. 

Are there any other conditions?

Training course participants must be engaged in a professional activity in which Dervish Yoga will be integrated, including:
• teaching in an institute, center, association, or business
• accompanying people with physical or psychological difficulties
• opening a health and wellness center
• any other innovative project that may be examined by our commission

Your application: the commission of the F.U.S. will review your application; if your request is accepted, we will send you the agreement and conditions of participation. 

What does the scholarship cover?

The scholarship covers part or all of tuition (up to 2100 Euros) of the teacher training course in Dervish Yoga (accomodation not included).

The training program lasts 21 days, either all at once during the month of August or distributed over the course of the year. After examination, participants will be certified first-level instructors and can lead weekly classes in Dervish Yoga.

Where is the program held?

The program takes place in the picturesque village of Le Hohwald in eastern France, in the Vosges Mountains at 650m altitude. Course participants may choose to reside directly on the premises at the Clos Ermitage, or in another hotel or location of their choice.

Since the meals are considered to be valuable times of sharing and exchange, breakfast, lunch, and dinner are taken on the premises at the restaurant of the F.U.S. in the Clos Ermitage. Meals are 100% vegetarian and organic.

The meals are offered at a reduced price for course participants:
• 20 Euros per day for participants not residing on the premises, covering all 3 meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), a total of 420 Euros for the entire 21-day training course.
• 30 Euros per day for participants residing on the premises, consisting of 20 Euros for all 3 meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) plus 10 Euros for accommodation, a total of 630 Euros for the entire 21-day training course.

What do I need to do?

Step 2 : Mail the completed application, including :
• a letter of intention stating your motivation, why you would be a good candidate for the scholarship program, and your experience in one of the areas listed above
• a resumé (CV) with two photos 
• a photocopy of your passport or identity card
• a detailed description of your post-training objectives
• a medical certificate confirming your ability to practice this type of method
• photocopies of your prior degrees and certifications

Step 3: If your application is accepted, we will place you in contact with your course leader or instructor

What do I commit myself to?

Recipients of the scholarship commit themselves to:
• complete attendance for the entire 21-day training program.
• participation in the practical and theoretical examinations
• adherence to the usages and customs of the University and participation in the community life with a spirit of collegiality and cooperation. We consider this aspect to be particularly important.
• confidentiality with respect to everything shared by the participants.
